Forage Medicine Clinic

What is FMC?

1) A Directory of Holistic Health Services + Practitioners, across all 50 states. Seek out healthcare providers in your area, discover new products, attend local healthcare events, and enjoy educational materials.

2) FMC also realizes that building a healthcare business is difficult and expensive. 90% of new businesses fail. FMC is also a Consulting firm. We provide a Mentorship Team (behind the scenes) to help providers learn good business practices and business-building skills so that they may successfully launch their own businesses someday. Once the provider learns the ins and outs of business building, they end their mentorship with FMC, and then launch! Until providers are ready to launch, we'll guide them under the branding umbrella of the FMC. Why? Because of the high failure rate of businesses, and because many of our patients and clients are on a long wait list until they can see their Primary Care or Specialty provider (sometimes up to a YEAR wait). So, FMC created a Directory and found a way to bring more practitioners and more local businesses to you.

Are all Practitioners/Providers in your LOCATIONS Directory new Practitioners?

No. Many have been around for decades, and some have just graduated.

Do you train your Practitioners/Providers?

No. We simply provide a database for Patients/Clients to find Providers and Services. We also Consult with providers on how to build their healthcare business behind the scenes.

What types of Practitioners/Providers are in your LOCATIONS Directory?

Many! Herbalists, Acupuncturists, Nutritionists, Coaches, etc. (Don't see your specialty? Let us know and we'll add you to our list!)

Are all Practitioners/Providers Licensed or Regulated?

No. Every state is different. The degree may be different from school to school or program to program. We suggest that you also research before reaching out to a provider in our LOCATION database.

What does "Accreditation" mean?

We like how achs.edu describes "accreditation" and how they answer the FAQs. See here: https://achs.edu/about-us/accreditation-and-state-authorization/

I thought Herbalists couldn't be licensed or Board Certified?

You may obtain National Licensure and Board Certification through NCCAOM for Chinese Herbal Medicine by passing National exams. This Board exam is primarily Eastern herbs, however, there is a a great deal of overlap with Western herbs. (The Herbal exam is administered in Mandarin (with Latin), English is not provided!)

You may also obtain State Licensure and Board Certification through CALE (California Acupuncture Board) which encompasses Herbology, Oriental Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and BioMedicine. Since the CALE State Board exam encompasses all four of these mentioned areas of study, many other states accept State Board Licensure from California through reciprocity. You must pass the CALE to practice in California, they do not accept NCCAOM licensure at this time.

Do you vet the Practitioners in your Directory?

No. FMC does not vet providers, nor check credentials. This is an open database. Please reach out to your practitioner and inquire about credentialing and licensing before seeking advice.

What Services do you provide?

Many! Each provider in our database is unique and some may wear many hats. Our list is continuously growing. Please check our HOME for a list of Services our providers provide.

Do you have a Social Media Community?

Yes! Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ForageMedicineClinicMobile, Instagram: @ForageMedicineClinic

I need immediate healthcare, what do I do?

Please call 911, or your Primary Care Provider. Most Holistic healthcare providers are preventative medicine and work mainly in the space of chronic care.

Please enjoy our collaboration of Services + Healthcare Practitioners.

Bringing you Holistic Healthcare is our business!
